Why clean file names matter
Spaces become %20 in links, accents break on some servers, and symbols like # or ? can cut a URL short. Web-safe names use only lowercase letters, numbers and a single separator.
Extensions stay intact
Toolra splits the extension from the name, cleans both, and lowercases the extension, so report.PDF becomes report.pdf while the file type is preserved.
Frequently asked questions
Does this rename my actual files?
Browsers cannot rename files on your device, so Toolra gives you the new names to copy. Picking files only reads their names.
What happens to duplicate names?
Turn on numbering for duplicates and Toolra adds -2, -3 and so on so every name is unique.
Are accents removed or replaced?
Accents are replaced with the plain letter: é becomes e, ñ becomes n.
